The commercial shows a teenage boy running down the street, a smug
expression on his face. He looks back, then forward to bit into a
grilled Stuft Nacho.
The announcer's unctuous voice
says (a bit paraphrased), "Why should you ever have to eat nachos on the
run? Well, maybe her parents came home early."
And then
we segue to the father chasing after the boy...he's got a determined
expression on his face and it's definitely supposed to be funny...
So
we're supposed to assume that the boy had a grilled stuft nacho from
Taco Bell, but instead of eating it was having sex with a girl -
doubtless without wearing a condom - parents come home - and he then
gets fully dressed , grabs his grilled stuft nacho and eats it while on
the run because he's such a fast runner...
And what is this commercial telling people?
That irresponsible teens who have no respect for parents eat at Taco Bell?
That parents are stupid and slow?
What's the theme song playing for this?
"You're momma's got nothing on me...you're father's got nothing on me..."
